Pen pressure suddenly stops working

Hi guys, I was wondering if you could help me with an issue I've got. I recently got a cintiq 21ux and while everything works well, suddenly the pressure sensitivity stops working. I downloaded the latest drive, uninstalled, rebooted and re-installed everything, but it happened again. I did everything one more time and pressure stopped again all of a sudden.

If anyone got a solution to stop re-installing everything all over again it would be greatly appreciated.

Is this problem with every program you use or just one?

For now it just happened with photoshop. I reinstalled everything again and tried photoshop and painter. For now it's working, so it really confuses me why it's doing this.

Happens all the time with Photoshop. I usually save and restart PS to restore pressure sense.

Just live with it:)

I find it happens more when I switch to another app (internet/media player etc) while using PS. Maybe it happens when CPU load is too high? Drops out and never reinitializes? (my superstitious reasoning)

@luke464: hahahaha yeah I think there's nothing we can do then, I was just worried if it was something wrong with the driver or if I did something wrong. It is true I usually switch between apps, maybe that's the reason. I'll try to do what you do and restart PS when it happens.

Hey guys i have to resurrect this thread!

I have the same problem with the pen pressure, usually when i restart PS it works but now it won'T work anymore, no matter what driver i use. Does anybody have some other tricks that would make this thing going again. I have an intous3 probably 2006 (with new tips...because i thought that was the problem)...man it's really annoying!

Man..haha...i did the simplest thing you could think of to get it working again.

PS - Brushes - other dynamics checkbox on - off - on .....aaaand.....:mod:


never thought that it would be that easy.
