Allow me to introduce Razz-Ma-Tazz Euripedes (Taz), our second youngest and at 38 pounds, possibly one of the largest black tabby house cats in the world, considering the record for ALL house cats is 41 pounds...

He has a rare genetic defect among black tabbies that causes them to suddenly get HUUGE at around age 19-24 months. Very affectionate, stands on his hinds like a dog to beg (over two feet high), and has a meow that can shatter concrete.

Just thought you'd like to know...heeheehee...

Does the genetic thing just make him fat, or is he like a bigger version of a house cat all around?

Perhaps we should seek to classify this cat as some kind of rare tiger?

I bet he'd love to eat one of these:

Word of warning. You know how all cats kinda look at you like, "Yeah I like you alright, but if I were bigger, I'd fuckin kill you and eat you"?

Yeah... well for one lucky little kitty, that wish has come true... Better keep tabs on just how much he keeps growing.

Woah, your kitty looks exactly like mine. I'm starting to live in fear..

But considering a such huge growth in short time, doesn't your cat have any health problems?

Shit. I wish my cat was that squishy, then at least he'd be too fat to climb up my pant-leg while I'm cooking dinner.

That little shit.

Your animals are awesome!!! Huge head too! My tabby is only twenty lbs, I thought he was a contender buy I guess not, my other tabby is half his size.

If I got that right, that is about six times as much as mine weighs...

Holy shit, Batman!

I didn't even know there was a gene failure like that for tabbies!

We have a red tabby and a second black tabby female (female) and they're both incredibly active and jump on anything in their sight line. The red once casually jumped 13+ feet in the house from a china cupboard to a television and landed easy, but physically, he's only about 1/3-1/4 the size of Taz even though he's full grown.

Taz is too big to jump because his legs aren't strong enough to propel that much weight. His skeleton is nearly twice as long as the others, and he's FAT because the gene flaw also affects the metabolism. No matter how little he eats, he stays big. The other black (female) is a true feral, so she's small because she's (1) a she, and (2) because she's feral. She's about 1/5-1/6 the size of Taz, but she's absolutely fearless (typically, females are vicious little bitches that can rake a male or attacker three times their size with impunity) and can jump vertically nearly 6 feet from a sitting position. (You haven't lived until you have a little teeny ball of fur and claws suddenly launch at your calf while you're walking and dig in with a full-crush hug, claws out while she shreds your jeans with her rear legs like a chain saw.)

This is all just an elaborate scheme to hide the fact that this is what actually happens to Ilaekae if you feed him after midnight.... werekitty...

Wow... he is huge! Although I can't help but think "awww" as I look at his pictures.

One of my dads friend has a cat just like that, although I don't think he is quite as big, but he definitely has the same condition as Taz. His name is Tigger, and he can only just manage to jump onto beds or low chairs, and he is so clumsy! He is also very affectionate and is always wanting food, he would never stop eating! Although occasionally he will have a tantrum if you don't give him enough attention, and he will literally launch himself at you... he did it to me once while I was looking after him, and he knocked me down onto the floor!

Ilaekae

Taz does the same thing. He bangs his head against my leg or stands up and reaches for my elbow until I scratch him on the top of his head or behind the ears, then he'll roll over on his back so you can scratch his belly. It's like an arial view of Area 51.

When he was a bit younger, he and the others got all excited and chased each other through the house like maniacs. Problem was, Taz couldn't put the brakes on and kept smashing into a dresser at the end of the hall like a wrecking ball on steroids...moved the sucker two feet across the floor before they wore themselves out.

my sisters cat continually sits at my door and cries at regular intervals during the night and early morning, waking me up and making my life hell. i figure its mainly because she wants attention, but rejects it when it's given. im only glad the cat isnt as big as yours.. :P

I think you got double trouble. I've seen those skinny little half-wild female ones live for like thirty years. Their hair will be falling out and they are half blind and they still bring you dead birds every morning. They're zombies, I tell you!!!

Yikes, that's a giant puddy tat. My cat (Samwise) is pretty big and he can stand up and have his paws resting on the top of countertop which is three feet tall. Probably nowhere compared to your monster cat.

And Sam loves food too and is a tad pudgy...even though I only feed him twice a day, he still can't lose all the weight. If he's hungry he annoys the hell out of me and rubs against me constantly...if I ignore him he bites me!

He is the weirdest cat I've ever owned...he only loves me and tolerates rest of my family, but everyone else, he hisses and bite!
