Hi guys, i'm not new here, but i was just too scared to start a sketchbook... until now! =]
I realized that's something i need to do for getting better, because here in this forum there's a lot of people who help each other and i aprecciate it so much.
Any critics, suggestions and coments will be apreciated. So please drop me a word or too. :yayca:
So, let me start posting my drawings.
I made this one as a tribute for Dita Von Teese, since she's visiting Brazil. =]
Here's the photo reference i used: click here to check (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_e9X_60sbE_s/RlirHb9IrLI/AAAAAAAAAiU/_KLsnER4n9g/s400/big_Dita_von_Teese_0ss0.jpg)
And here's my drawing:
http://i.imagehost.org/0254/dita1.jpg
I'm not satisfied with this, since i did not match the original, but it's the best i can do at the moment.
I'll try to upload more tomorrow. Hope i can get critics from you guys.
Thx a lot, and i'll see you soon.

Just a few speedies, took about 2 to 3 hours each.
criticism is welcome, i'm trying to improve on environments. Besides that if anyone can help me on attaching images i would be grateful, because i don't think im doing it right. from what I know attached images should be resized, right? it's not happening...

Personal Illustration.
Since I've visited a shelter for abandoned animals in 2007 and adopted my Cat named Lion (the one in my avatar pic) I am completely in favor of this cause, which inspires me to draw and paint this subject once in a while. Would be nice to have more people interested in animal adoption. =]

Great start!!! I I like your character on the last one, its cartoony yet nice. For crits, well depending on what you want to do, do more figure, and environmental studies. Strengthen them so you'll be able to draw them from your imagination. Keep on drawing!!!!

Hey dude, you have a great imagination. The cartoon with the kid and the cat in the rain is great. Get some figure studies in there like anatomy, gestures, etc. And if you draw enough, you'll work out all the kinks by yourself without anyone having to tell you. Keep up the great work.

I really like those 2 environment speedpaintings above the one with the lava pit, the textures in those are pretty awesome. Keep up the good work :D

Agreed on the last comment, i would suggest doing some more firgure from life, and some still life with pencil, to practice your rendering. Remember a cone has very similar shape to an arm for example(think of it as a 3 dimensional shape in space! Your going to see a darker shadow or core shadow that will make it look more round when you put a strong light on the object.
just draw more, especially form life.
good start man.

Pretty good concepts so far, so keep up the imaginative work
Also, I'd suggest doing more life drawing and photo studies,
because you need to work on the anatomy and gesture of your figures I think,
and also the colors in your environments don't seem right (too saturated or something)
Keep up the hard work.

Here are just a few drawings i did in life drawing sessions along March. Was kinda cool to experiment on crayons.

On this one i was just trying to evolve some concept while studying composition, color control, story telling and stuff. Hope y'a dig! :)
