Practice and use reference, there isn't any secret trick to it :) It can help to draw some and post them in the WIP/Critique section and you'll as you do it. Learning correct perportions doesn't happen over night, almost everygthing with art takes practice.

haha yeah you're right. i didnt think of it 'till you posted that. but thanks :) im practicing as we speak. only problem is i like to draw more with a sketchbook and pencils, and i dont have a printer that'll scan papers onto computers so it kinda stinks :\ but if i do any with the graphics tablet(i dnt have a good one, so i dont perfer it) you'll have to check it out and let me know what you think. :D

I find this a bit funny since I drew a lot of female models while in college.
They had more female models than male models, so most of my male drawings are horrible, while my female models look decent. I still have a lot of room to improve (I know this for a fact since I'm a Graphic Designer and not Illustrator), and the only way for you (or myself) to do so is by drawing constantly on a regular basis. Perhaps try picking up the wooden doll they use for poses and draw from that. I have one myself (don't use it much, but still) and they do come in handy when you need a pose or want some sort of guideline when starting out on a drawing. Just do the basic shapes, then fill the detail in. Concentrate on the areas that you aren't as strong in. For me, I would say hands, or feet. I'm pretty good with everything else, but the angles of feet and hands cause me a lot of problems. I have drawings where the characters have solid "blocks" for feet and hands because I didn't even attempt them. Keep that in mind when drawing, work on the sections that you struggle with and keep practicing. :)

That's weird. I find women much easier to draw than men. Women have gradual curves, a lot of fat and a mistake is usually not that noticable. Men have lots of bony surface form and hard shadows from muscles, not much room for error there.

not an expert, but my advice would be, to search a reference of men and women muscle, bones, and parts. Also, what i mean, is that you could try this excercise, start by doing a grid of head, neck, chest, torso, waist, arms and legs. you ll notice that there are considerable difference between women and men. try to manage that your hand learn the parts of female body, as well as male. That as one part. And the other is to draw using a reference, cause every body is diferrent than the other... you dont want to end up drawing all the same or a supermodels, lol.
But as one hand, learn the parts of human body, and then also, draw from reference.
Think of the body as a bee or a ant, where you have very specific shapes, like head, torso and butt... lol. but dont stick into this excersice...
try both... and well mostly reference, if you want to draw real human bodies.
