Hello there all!
I just got a 10x6 ADESSO CT-Z12A Graphics Tablet yesterday for trying to enter the world of Digital Inking.

I am currently using (with Photoshop 7.0) these BRUSH settings:
DIAMETER - 12
Angle - 45 Degree / Roundness - 24%
Hardness - 100 / Spacing - 1%

Jitter - 0% / Control (pressure) - 20%

Is there better settings, what do you guys use/recommend?

I will post my 1st digital inking when I get it finished. I have found the same drawing that I used roughly 10 years ago when I 1st began to ink, and am re-doing the adventure, but this time in the digital world!

I recommend you to ditch Photoshop and use a good program to ink like Painter, Systemax SAI or MangaStudio.

I mostly agree with Portus but if Photoshop is all you have then the settings are good. However, freehan inking is tough with Photoshop. You'll be better off stroking pen paths along the way. Maybe -this- (http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=170660) can help you.

Lately, I've been using adobe illustrator to ink with. Creating a custom calligraphy brush for inking is easy, and you can adjust the brush to whatever level of sensitivity of prefer. The added bonus is that it's very easy to color your lines. All you do is select the line you want, change the stroke color in the palette and voila! Instant color. Doing the same thing in photoshop involves new layers and careful brush work, and it's really kind of a pain.
