I need some constructive criticism on how to finish this. the biggest problem I see right now is the neck and rope (if you can tell that's a rope).

Jericho,
Good start. Nice touch with the swollen flesh around where the hair stiches into the head. I'm also really liking the skin texture.
Right now I'd say that it's time to start sharpening things up. Everything's so soft right now (probably because you're just mapping it out, in which case I should shut up).
I think the rope would read better if we could see the other end coming out from behind the hair. From there it could run up and off the page, or swing around and become a foreground object.
The neck: I really don't have a problem with it. However, have you considered adding the rest of the body? It would really sell the hanging aspect of the drawing, if we could see the whole figure, all the way down to it's little dangling feet.
hope this helps,
-andrew
