Anyone else ever had this problem:
For some reason I can't seem to draw well when I want to but when i'm doodling they seem a lot better. What I think the real problem is the smaller details within the picture I have trouble filling empty space, because I don't know what should go there. Could this be a lack of mental images or studies? Or could it be that i think to much about it, cause another thing is that when i focus on small parts at a time it turns out a lot better. And i'm talking like amauter amauter stuff just random #2 pencil drawing.

please post a link to the work. And draw more from observation.

honestly i dont think you CAN think about it too much... depending of course on what style of drawing you do, if its ultra reallistic/idealistic like me, you NEED to be thinkink about how dark of a shadow something should have and what shape something else is

again like tas said, draw from observation and life, and try to post some links so we can tell what you mean

keep at it!
