Technically tonight was my 4th class and the 2nd class with a model. But at the end of this session was the first time we had more then 15-60 seconds to do something.

It's nothing special really. I'm still getting used to the idea of drawing from my shoulder again, and getting used to the pencil I was using tonight (my god those 8b woodless graphites are SMOOTH!).

Aaanyways...

The model we had tonight was amazing. For our quickies he got into some of the most insane poses. One time, when he had his leg coming right at me, all I saw was a Burne Hogarth drawing: limbs in extreme forshorting with these incredible overlapping shapes and lines. Sadly, due to having little time and less skill, I couldn't capture it.

Can't wait til next week!

Thats pretty neat considering its 30 minutes. Stick with it, gonna improve you loads. I hate clases like this a lot. I know they're excellent to practice but its a strugle for every second im holding the pen.

Foreshortening is difficult to master. i still cant see how tbh.

got more to show?

Thanks for the comments Banimator.

I'm still sticking with it and loving every minute. I've got some updates from last week, but I've just been super busy lately and haven't had time to snap some pictures. Hopefully I'll be able to rifle through them tonight and post some updates on the journey. :)

OK, had some photoshop issues that caused a slight delay. Sorry for the sort of crappy quality of these but I had to take pictures as these are done on 18x24 sketch paper and, well...my scanner just isn't that big. ;)

Unforunately I'm skipping tonight's class so I only have pictures from Tuesday. It sucks, because we're going to try some Ink stuff tonight and I was really looking forward to that. :(

Anyways
