Ok so I'm currently wondering about what kind of tablet pc to get, I need on with a pressure sensitive screen and a decent battery life. So I looked over at the fujitsu (I saw that some artists use them) and saw that they were moderately priced but I'm still not completely sold. My question I guess is which fujitsu is the best for art related usage.

I don't know much about tablet PC's, but from my experience they're really tailored to business use and not to artists-- even the best tablet PC does not seem to have the same sensitivity as an actual Wacom tablet. You might be better off saving some money and getting a tablet + laptop instead of a tablet PC. :/

salaryman wrote a great article about the Motion LE1700 tablet pc.

The difference between the pressure sensitivity specs of Tablet PCs vs Wacom Tablets is really overplayed, especially by those who have never used a Tablet PC. There is a difference, but it isn't really a big deal in actual use. Check out this video:

If you want the best Tablet PC available, Fujitsu T5010 or T4410 are probably it. The Motion tablets are also nice, but very expensive and underpowered in terms of hardware compared to more recent models from other manufacturers. Motion and Fujitsu have the best quality screens.

Other possibilities are Lenovo, Toshiba and HP, which also make decent quality Tablet PCs.

It makes a big difference to not easily be able to hit keyboard shortcuts - you lose a LOT of work time just finding menu items and tools. Until they make one with multi-touch, I'm staying away.

Actually, the keyboard shortcuts aren't such a big deal. Firstly you can buy a small bluetooth keyboard to access them, and secondly you can use the Action Palette in button mode to quickly access your most used commands, I use a similar setup with my Cintiq as well because it's so handy:

Also, with a little bluetooth mouse you can zoom with the scroll wheel.

I currently use a fujitsu tablet PC and I love it. It's nice cause it's so portable, and I can pretty much curl up with it anywhere I want. I've had mine for four years and it still works great. Don't know much about the more recent models though.

As stated above though the tablet PCs do seemed to be more geared towards business folks than art folks. You won't get the same pressure sensitivity as you would with a regular tablet. As the screen is rather small (mine's 12", but I believe they make larger ones now). My friend has a Toshiba I believe, and the screens a bit bigger than mine and he seems to love his also. There's ways to get around the no keyboard thing also.

All in all, I guess it's just personal preference, and there actually isn't much difference between drawing on tablet pc and regular tablet in my opinion.
