I saw it yesterday, so here's my opinion on it.
The movie is very well made. Very atmospheric and creepy, with convincing performances from all four (!) of the actors. It was very entertaining and engaging, and held my attention the entire time.
However, while it was definitely very creepy, it was nowhere near as scary as it's been hyped up to be. I never got chills, I never jumped or cowered in my seat. I did get some heebie-jeebies when I went to bed last night, though.:)

I may not be into Horror flicks, but I've seen some good ones (New Nightmare) and bad ones (Halloween Ressurection).

what i've heard is it's one nof those theatre experience movies. a bunch of people wo want to have a good scare see the opening shows. people scream and laugh outloud, have a good time.. but to see it by yourself is kind of an average thing. just as it was with blair witch.

Yeah I'm kind of curious to see it. I'm not one for horror or scary movies in general, but I hear it's good.

I would recommend it.

You can experience it in two ways: try to disapprove it while watching or enjoy the experience. I chose the latter.

My favorite part is playing "find waldo" the supernatural activity edition. Waiting and scanning the screen for any hint of movement, very thrilling.

IMHO, The last 5mins of the movie is worth the ticket price.

I tried super hard to enjoy it but the acting kept really taking me out of the whole deal. It was like watchin the actors in soft core porn try and make a movie :(. I do give propssss to the people who made it though, they probably only spent like $10 on the whole thing since nothing really happens

I've read a few complaints about the acting on the IMDB message boards as well, and I just don't get it. I thought the acting was just fine. Naturalistic and convincing. Huh.

I saw it last night. Idk it wasn't as scary as i thought it would be. I got freaked out lots of parts of the movie, but not scared. the only time i seriously shat a brick was the very last minute of the movie, did NOT see that ending coming.

So for me, the movie wasn't scary in the theatre. But now that im in my home and trying to sleep, i am scared outta my fucking mind. Every little thing that goes bump in the night makes me start to sweat and makes my heart beat fast. The movie is scary because they do an excellent job of making it convincing and real so people who have ever thought they heard a ghost or something in the night can totally relate (and those are the ones that will totally flip shit when they see it). They set it up so it seems like it could just be anybody's house and it could happen to anybody, which is why im freaked.

I guess it depends on what kind of person you are and what you are looking for. I heard it was scary as hell so i thought it would be, but it wasn't as bad as i thought. Its more of a creepy - freaky scary because so many people can relate to it, rather than a straight up scary monster gore kind of scary... It doesnt adhere to any horror movie formula.

And those fucking footsteps, leading up the stairs at the end. uhhhh *shudder* im getting chills thinking about it.

I can relate, man. I saw this, then this last Thursday I saw an advance screening of "The Fourth Kind." Now every noise is either a demon lurking around my house or a perverse alien coming to get me. I haven't been able to sleep facing away from my doorway for days. :)

I wanna see it.
It sounds like the kinda scary movie that would really haunt me after seeing it... I probably wouldn't be able to sleep at night. >.<;

It's just been realised over here. I thought it was a pretty scary film and cleverly shot. Luckily I didn't notice the hype around it so I couldn't be let down. Typical horror movies never do it for me. I did, though, keep questioning why the guy wasn't uploading the nightly footage to YouTube or something. >.<

Props to the film maker doing it alone on $15,000. He did a better job than Hollywood directors with million dollar budgets.

there's like 3 versions of it..

original) we can't see wat was happening wen the girl was dragged down to the living room, only sounds of struggles were heard. then the girl just walk back up to the bedroom n just sit on the floor, rocking back n forth for like 2~3 days. cutting the long story short, the girl was "accidentally" shot by the policemen.

1) towards the end the guy was thrown towards the comcoder, then the girl take the camcoder n smash it with her head.

2) in the end the guy kena murdered by the girl.. then the girl bend down n "sniff" the corpse.. then look n the camcoder, smile, n slit her throat
