Well, it looks more like a popsicle than a lightsaber right now. Id give it a better glow and cast some orange light from the lightsaber onto the guy. Id also as something to make it look more evil...glowing eyes..or mabye less white in the background.

I think it looks awsome, I really like the ruggedness of it the only things I see that bug me a little are his feet seem very small, and also in the background, I really like the shapes and some of the variances, but I dont really like where it is scribbled alot, it looks overworked like you tried really hard to get that affect heh, other than that good work keep it up!

> i was going to make the lightsaber very bright, but it looked strange against the silhouette of the head.
my brother added a lensflair and i promptly shot him.- then got rid of it. dam little brother always adds lens flairs to ABSOLUTLY EVERYTHING- it's rediculious.

anyways, thanks for the comments and critic - is the arm blade too much ?

I realize it's incomplete, but take care you balance the detail level of the environment and the character. He looks good in a watercolor-y way right now, but only if the rest of the painting ends up matching that style.

If you intend to detail him further, just remember that Jedi and Sith are supposed to be optimized for fights that are more cockfighting than combat. Make sure that if he's wearing armor or robes they're hung on his body such that they don't get in the way, though they can (and probably should) swirl around in battle for a darth-maul "samauri pleats" effect.
