Cute aliens, but I really like the guy in the turban; it shows good pencil control.

Left you a message re your question.

Great, more updates. The pic with the guy on the car fishing, there's not much in the way of shadows on him or the buildings. He also doesn't look grounded where he's standing - move him up. You still need to work on how material looks; your folds don't always follow the form.

That last picture is much more interesting - looks like a pretty dangerous sport.

I apologize for the bad quality of the pics....You may see a lot of squiggly lines..Just me attempting to free my hand...I couldn't draw a single straight line without cuts and line breaking..So i drew everywhere just to ease my hand into it...Any feedback will be greatly appreciated...

Thank you..

Good to see sketches.

I did the Loomis studies myself, they are good, but the shoulders tend to be to broad on the males. The last pose is impressive, but to elevate it even more, and give it more character you could think about using different pencil lines. Try adding clear outlines only to parts that are nearer to the viewer. That way you can add more depth.
Your faces need some work as well, the symmetry is off in some, so just try to draw many more and maybe some head studies by loomis or other drawing books. But drawing them as often as possible is the best way to learn. As you are doing just that, you are on the best way!

Cheers, I'll be back.

Janos is right, you have some major proportion problems at times... but if you follow his advice, you can overcome it in time. May I suggest that you should really observe the subject matter (whether it be Loomis, Hogarth or whatever) and compare it with the lines you've laid down while you are drawing it.

When drawing from books, what helps me sometimes is to make the drawing the same scale as the one in the book, then it's easier to judge measurement and identify where my mistakes are. And if you do it right, you can then just put your drawing over the one in the book and hold the page up to the light... your drawing should be almost an exact match. ;)

Anyway, keep up the good work! :teeth:
