View Full Version : Two posters for the band I'm playing with (I added a few music samples)

Hello everybody !

Here are two posters I made for my punk/drum'n'bass band. They are composed with old photos or photos I pick up in magazines, painted with gouache and destroyed with water and dust. The name of the band (Mat da Lao !) means "just good to be killed" and is the second part of a sort of ritual phrase during the second world war about those who collaborated with the nazis in my area. We take it to show that the fight against racism is not going to end right now and that we're fignting them everyday. The little text on the back means "Death to suckers".

Keep on fightin' the nazis !
Stay rude, stay red !

these look pretty good. i think they do reflect some of the punk spirit and your band's intention. would like to hear some samples, do you have a website?

Not yet, it will come really soon. For now, we're trying to play in the area and making a DIY record. I will build a website in a few weeks ... of course with our mp3's (hate to sell, prefer give it !)

I just add a few bad records of us I made with a tape-recorder (:D :D :D ). It's just samples 'cause I've no time to make it better, the majority of the instruments and the voice are not on it, well ... It's a really bad product ! 'Just piss off this punk shit if you want !

Yes, that's right, it's a boot smashing it. The picture is little, because it as to be seen as a poster.
