I’ve decided to give Sketchup a go after seeing some of the amazing work you guys are producing with it.
Just started off simple since I’m still fighting with navigation and building simple shapes. Hope it gets easier.
Anyway here a couple of things I’ve done over the past few days, Just simple block models taken in to Photoshop.

Nice way to learn painting lighting, that's for sure. But I think using renderers will help much more, as they show how photons bounce, giving gradients in shadows and lights, instead one value areas.

Keep practising! :)

Thanks Tonic, I see what you mean about the shadows, something I need to watch out for in the future. I gave Kerkythea a try this morning but didn’t have a clue what was going on. I think I might just stick with Sketchup for now.
This was done after watching kemps DVD.
