A friend of mine here on ConceptArt, Loathsome, told me to do a thread with some of my stuff so here we go.
Hopefully I'll get more active here soon enough too.

last one for now
February 20th, 2010, 01:32 PM
Just something I did while watching/listening to a Crimson Dagger live stream today. It turned out okay but it could use a lot of fixing up
February 23rd, 2010, 04:28 AM
Yet another thing I whipped up yesterday. I quite like this one actually c:
February 23rd, 2010, 02:56 PM
A portrait practice piece I did earlier today. Turned out okay but slightly different from the ref... and that nose didn't turn out too good either lmao
February 28th, 2010, 02:25 AM
Photoshop painting of a Manikin bird. The only reason to why I picked this bird is because they look like they can moonwalk when they try to attract a mate haha
February 28th, 2010, 02:29 AM
Something I drew during a Bobby Chiu stream
March 6th, 2010, 06:05 PM
Good god this piece took forever. But it's done now.
The ref photo I used was one of the picture of the day photos on National Geographic's website.
More pictures to come
March 18th, 2010, 06:57 AM
My first master study c:
March 19th, 2010, 02:27 PM
A picture I did for a contest on deviantart. The club that holds the contest was created to help people improve so I thought it was worth doing c:
I don't really like this picture too much but I am happy with all the things I learned while doing this so in that way I like it.
March 20th, 2010, 11:04 AM
A quick coloured sketch I did today of a character I came up with a month ago or so
March 20th, 2010, 11:17 AM
Sweet designs! That mantis looks totally kickass too, I can't say I know anything about digital painting but the colouring on the mantis looks a lot more natural than the others to me
March 24th, 2010, 03:52 PM
Haha yeah I spend a whole lot of time on that one. And it's a bit easier to paint an exoskeleton than feathers and fur
March 24th, 2010, 03:56 PM
Hey boi got sum nice shiz going
March 24th, 2010, 03:56 PM
double post ):
March 24th, 2010, 03:59 PM
Love the Mantis!
National Geographic is so great for ref!
Post more =)
March 24th, 2010, 04:32 PM
Thanks a lot guys c:
And yes I love National Geographic and their photos. A lovely place for refs or to just look at pretty photos
April 1st, 2010, 06:40 PM
A concept art of some character I just came up with last week or something. Actually I came up with him a long time ago I just re-designed him just now c:
April 1st, 2010, 06:59 PM
Love your paintings mate, keep 'em coming :)
April 2nd, 2010, 12:09 AM
Heya, liking your work so far! Keep up the studies. I have stacks of old national geogrpahics that I draw from - they are great. I pick them up from charity shops usually. Anyway keep up the good work.
April 6th, 2010, 06:26 AM
I forgot that I hadn't posted some of my landscape studies so here's a a couple of them
April 6th, 2010, 06:42 AM
good sketchbook, I like your paintings, characters seem to have a really personal style
April 7th, 2010, 10:17 AM
Thanks man I appreciate it c:
Here's another master study that once again took a lot longer than expected haha
Oh and I only used a part of the ref for this because if I were to do the whole painting it'd take forever and I'd pretty much die
April 11th, 2010, 07:36 AM
A portrait I just finished today. I would've been happier with it if I didn't use a grid to get everything right lmao. Next time I do a portrait I'm going to do it without using a grid because I don't wanna be stuck using it
April 11th, 2010, 11:10 AM
Hey I really enjoy your character designs! They're fantastically whimsical but I feel they have a lot of culture and personality.
I think your painting method is kind of smudgy/airbrushed/blurry, which can make the colors muddy and the values vague. Using a harder brush at full opacity will force you to be more deliberate about every decision. Also, I think a more deliberate style will transfer well into your imaginative stuff. Keep it up.
April 11th, 2010, 06:24 PM
Ah thank you, I've always been bothered by that in my painting and I haven't been too sure on what to do really. I will try this and thanks again.
April 13th, 2010, 09:24 AM
A value study I started on yesterday and finished today. When I finished the last one I was all "Damn I should have made it look like rock, paper, scissors" but I couldn't be bothered to make yet another one c:
April 18th, 2010, 03:49 AM
Still life painting I did in photoshop. It is oh so horrible and it made me realize how much I need to work on still life things D:
April 18th, 2010, 02:42 PM
Another still life thingie of some perfume bottle I got ages ago that I've never used lmao
April 21st, 2010, 03:52 PM
Your painting skills are getting much better man, keep pushing
April 25th, 2010, 05:38 PM
Thank you man c:
I worked on this for a while yet I'm not even close to being happy with it because the lights and shadows are so horrendous it's not even fun. But I guess I learned a thing or two here so it was worth it in the end despite the final product.
April 27th, 2010, 06:03 AM
Getting back to doing more studies now at last <:
April 28th, 2010, 05:22 AM
Just a quickie that I did yesterday. Well it would've been a quickie but I just worked on it on and off during the day while drawing other things as well.
May 2nd, 2010, 05:51 AM

May 25th, 2011, 03:26 AM
looks like you got a great thing goin on here.
May 25th, 2011, 03:31 AM
Can only agree with Aryeh - the studies are looking very good, the painted ones especially, and the imagination is bubbling - so it will be interesting to see where this will go, somewhere good I'm certain but where within the sphere of success will be a thing to watch.
So keep doing what you do and I'll be around to watch the journey - and thanks for posting.

Wow, when I saw that mantis I was like 'Oh my fff.. that's freaking amazing!'
xD But seriously it's awesome. I need to get my hand on some of those National Geographic things :P
By the way I like your character designs :D They all seem to have different personalities and such, which I like~
Also you still lifes are really good~ I agree about the harder brush thing but so far so good (: *subscribes*
May 26th, 2011, 05:42 PM

A piece I did last month. Got lots of mistakes but I got critiqued on most of them I think. Doesn't hurt to post it here as well just in case though c:

yet another drawing I did like one or two months ago.
May 7th, 2012, 12:10 AM
Hi, I wanted to mention that I think your lighting skills are really great! You pick such luminescent colors... something that I personally struggle with. I find it inspiring, i'll be sure to check back for more updates! Keep them coming!
May 7th, 2012, 01:26 AM
You've got some impressive art here! Keep it up! :D
May 7th, 2012, 01:34 AM
