Here are some of the sketches and ideas I had about my
thunderdome project versus Dan V.D. The topic is a character with a bio-mechanical creature. I opted to go backwards in time to a mock- steam age approach, a bizarre twist between animal, machine, and magic.
This horse would probably at the head of a cavalry charge.
Plowing along like a locomotive.
I would appreciate any type of critique.
I plan to paint it soon.
Cheers

The horses legs need a bit of altering, at the moment they are standing like two pairs of human legs. It won't take much alteration though, just get a bit of reference for horse anatomy and you'll be sorted. :)
Good luck!

Thanks Dave
I will most definitely make quite a few adjustments.
Definitely on the leg, and trying to counter balance the weight of the ram on the front..

Looking good,
A counter balance for the ram is a solid idea. A few possibilities for this are:
1. Give the horse some sort of spikey battle-tail.
Or maybe, 2.(and I think this one is cooler) Keep the soldier sitting up close to the horse's shoulders, but stretch the horses body out and up to give room for giant, powerful back legs. It would look like the dragster of battle horses.
The only reason I suggest it, is because you've already got me excited about the design (because it rocks), which has me thinking about what the next step could be.
Have fun,

I followed a lot of the advice and critque offered to me..
Thanks again.
I will paint over his version, the only gripe from my stand point would be the " midget" rider. I'm definitely going to make him a bit taller..
