Nice character design, his shoulders (pads) and "head gear" (?) seem out of place a bit though. The shoulders are at an odd angle, and out of line.....making the pose look "unnatural".
I really like the attention to detail you've got going.

That looks pretty cool. Your work seems to be very flat even though you define a lot of the details with your line work. A suggestion would be to define the details more and making the concept more of a rounded figure by adding some highlights to him using the dodge and burn tool. Try and define a light source, a simple overhead light would be fine, however, three lights would define the figure more, that is, one at the side, at the top and a piercing light at the back.
This concept looks very believable but if you spend more time concentrating on giving the figure more shape and definition your concepts will no doubt be killer.

The drawing itself is... w0w, Amazing
But the shadows and lightning really sucks ass. Sorry i'm so blunt but an amazing picture like this deserves way better! Make the lightning and shadows detailed and realistic, or better yet... use colors. It would be a complete masterpiece.

I actually like your use of flat grays, it helps to bring out the wonderful linework imo, but I think some of the shading/lighting needs a bit of work such as around his chest area.
I dunno though..it looks good =)

Thanx for your great concern folks!!
Mr. Dong Bear, a friend of mine, put some colors on my
sketch version.
Actually, I'm pretty much satisfied with this rough colored version.
Thanx Bro!!

Now thats what I like to see. Those colours sure spruce up your pic. Man, if you could do the colours yourself you would be a pretty damn good concept artist. Cheers

Hey great line work, but..
The shading is lacking. I understand what you are doing, but the fact that only certain areas are that should be highlighted are not highlighted makes it look weirdly self-illuminated. I suggest doing a light study and have the light coming from one sorce (above would be best) and highlight all the up plains and maybe slight shading on down plains.
Also it seems the shading has no interaction with the contours and textures of you character
I understand you did not do the color on the second one, but I have to comment, its badass.
Good work.

i like it. y know what might be nice. if there would be a light source coming from down below. But I also like that self lighted look. its a nice touch. That coloring sure spruces it up!

I like it, you have a talent for concept, and you know that line work is the essense of concept. Very well done drawing, 8.5 out of a 10. Beautiful, keep it up. As for color, its one of those things that you can fill in later after you have an awesome drawing such as the one you showed. I want to see more of them, are you going to post new ones anytime soon?

O by the way, I thought it was sorta weird how he doesn't have a glass mask if he's a space pirate. How does his suit work? Does it have an airfield? Wouldn't he be sucked out of his suit if he was in space? -head first, ouch, haha
Just something to consider

Niiiiiice! cool detail. I think you could go further with developing the large bulk shapes, though. And function as well. His weapon looks like a super-techno baseball bat! How much technology do you really need to whack someone upside the head?:bash: Your technique is down, now you can concentrate on the piece as an idea. But again, I wouldn't be wasting my breath with criticism if I didn't already like the piece...:D
