Hey-
guess its about time that I actually post something on CA... Hey Jason.

Some may have seen this on... er, another forum. Wanted to get some fresh perspective as I recently finished it and need any final advise:

Thanks for the eyes...

nice transluscent feel on the skin. The jar seems to need some more love..it stands out a lot, I think its the pure yellow and that it lacks the level of polish the rest of the painting has. The lighting feels a little flat, but the fact that it is underwater may cause that effect. Cool image.

Try creating a bit more highlight on the face / upper body area of the waterboy. He needs a tiny bit more contrast to make him the central focus of the piece. I actually looked at the container and the fish first.

Good work!

this is what I've been looking for... thanks...

I can definately see that the jar is pulling the attention away from the face and some of the body... I'll work the jar more and tone down the yellow... that should even it out... as for the face poping, I'll work that upon the outcome of the jar...

the hyperactive side of me really wanted to pump the lighting but all of my references were diffused... I played around with it a little but opted on this instead... after I complete this run I may go back and see what a little more in the way of dynamic lighting might do... Thanks a lot.
