Hey, just thought I could post some illustrations I did for a babybook - you know those standard fill in that people buy when they get kids. Unfortunately they were never used. Anyway it differs a lot from what people like to see on this forum I guess, but I still hope a few find it interessting.
Different theme for me as well, but I still enjoyed doing them.

The one with the kid lying in the grass I was supposed to change a lot on on, for them and for personal reasons, but since they weren't used I of course stopped working on it.

Just Curious -

Was it total photoshop? Or Scanned in pencil then coloured?
ANd do you have concept art to go with them perhaps some rough sketches?

Cheers:chug:

Hey Guys,
Glad some liked these :)

Beer Baron, thanks a bunch!

gekitsu, thx

legacy, thx, yeah I think I prefer that one the most myself as well.

al-x, hehe :) Mucho gracias ! I'm struggling with our assignment, it's hard to be creative without doing clichés. I think we've have made a very challenging topic. So, looking really forward to see what you have up your sleeve ;)

Dstudio, This were pencil and then photoshop. I never draw or sketch anything in photoshop, just coloring and paint. I hate sketching lines with tablet and love sketching with pencil so, ..Rough sketches, concept art. well, I threw it all away, I accidentaly had two roughs lying around, so I scanned them. So, these are the two steps from rough, then I use lightable and go over them once before I scan...that's my process.

Great drawings, with tonnes of character. The first is my fave, because you captured the look of a giggling baby perfectly :)

Nice, but no pictures of screaming, crying, pooping and puking babies? Doesnt strike me as a very realistic book ;)

Refreshing to see more of your work. Glad you posted the ruffs as well, always cool to see the process of how other artists figure out how to do the finish.
