Tuchten sketches

Hi people!
Haven't posted any sketches here for a long time.
I recently worked as concept artist at a company
called GRIN, and before that I worked at Guerrilla Games
in Amsterdam. Unfortunately I don't have much sketches
or personal work from these last years. But I'm hoping to
get some energy back and post my new work, along with
some old pictures here. Expect sketches, paintings and
graphic design.

Dile: I actually quit 3 months before the company closed down. I'm very glad I wasn't there when it crashed. Must have been horrible. ;(

A TMNT redesign.
Took a piece of an early comic and used that
as a foundation for the composition and details
in the illustration. I tried to exaggerate certain
details in the characters personality to separate
the turtles visually from each other.
This is a WIP. Hopefully I will do a background
and colour it sometime.
Had a blast working on this. Hope that shows!

Are the sketches done in painter with scratchboard tool or is it photoshop?

I rarely use Painter. These sketches
are all made in Photoshop using various
brushes.

Hey there!. Thanks a lot for your comment on my SB!.

I really love your stuff, specially the entry for the EoW!. I like everything from it! The colors, shades, concept, everything! :P
I also like your Faxanadu thing, if just because I also love the game, hahahah (and the music that plays in the town is so awesome).

Here's an update on the Faxanadu cover.
Still WIP this one. Will hope get the
colours to co-relate a bit better in the
end.. But I don't want to change them
to much from the original palette.

"gay"ish to make the game. When the

wrote that they much preferred the
mustache over the dreadlocks..

A bit further with my faxanadu WIP.
Logo is still really ruff so I removed
it temporarily. I will try to work more
the surrounding colour and the effect
that hit his shield. I feel I'm faar from
finished.

DStraX; I agree on the hand. Its a bit
sloppy. I probably wouldn't have noticed
or cared If you hadn't mentioned it. I
will work further on it.

In the meantime here's some marketing
art Iv done for a HipHop-band/project
called S.T.I.C.S featuring LADAH.

Here are two posters. The first one was
for an early gig and I hadn't really found a
consistent style that I liked. The second
one is more to the point. Street, ruff and
with FAT text.

I also designed a blog for the group.

My faxanadu final. Really lost the
momentum in the end of this one.
Someone commented the hand,
and I still agree. Just don't have
the energy to work further on it.
Did some small changes.

Its hard. I feel like iv plundered
the past. I just cant compete
with the simple iconic impact of
the original cover.

Still-. I had fun, and I'm pleased
with it to a certain degree.
