Pallas Athena T-Shirt Design

Sorry for the crummy scan, the pic is too big for my scanner. Anyways here is a design I'm working on for the back of a fraternity rush t-shirt. I'm almost done with the pencil, I still have some kinks, and I'm not sure if I'm gonna put bracers on the arms. Any comments and crit are welcome before I start to ink it! (probably 22nd or 23rd)

wow this is just a kickass pic man. great job on the girl, and that owl is just ownage!

only thing i dont like is how it ends :\ its ok on paper but when u put it onto a shirt it looks funky :P

it looks good, except whatever that thing is on Pallas' chest. it looks like a lamb or something. i also think you should try and adjust the angle of the back wing. i feel it would look better if you put the top of the wing at a higher angle... between 10 and 11 o'clock, as opposed to the 8:30 you have now. i think it would make it more dynamic.

wow, thanks for the responses guys. unfortunately I've already inked most of it because I'm in a rush to get it finished before school starts (mon). I will have it completly inked by friday and then I'll start to add value digitally.

legacy- thanks man, "the end" do you mean the bottom with the hands? hopefully it will work once I add value

devilbunny- shoot, yeah I wish I would have waited to start inking, some olive branches tangled in her hair, maybe coming out from under her helmet. I really need to start add more detail and pattern to my designs (btw I'm digging your medusa chick)

I saw your other posts and noticed your K of P shirt design... just a little FYI, i did the original design for the K of P sword for GHQ, along with the poster they put out the first year.

ok so here is the linework finished. I'll be throwing in some shading in b/w real soon in photoshop. I'm just keeping it b&w because that will be the cheapest way to go for tshirt screenprinting. I will hopefully have it done by sunday, possibly later =P.

empty- heh, I'm glad you picked up on the K of P in my last design. I threw in at least 3 things in this design that only a phi could recognize/understand(not counting pallas), I hope you get them! For your design, are you talking about the close up the the K of P sword hilt? I think I've seen that before on a tshirt and it looked pretty sick.

UPDATE! I was bored so i started to put in some value real fast in photoshop. this is real sloppy and was mostly to get a feel of how I was going to do the lighting, I'm thinking that I'm going to need to figure out how to handle the hands better. I need to seperate them more and figure out how to handle to highlights better. and suggestions and crits would be awesome. I can always change things digitially.

here's what I got after about 8 hours of work on it today. I would love some feedback asap, I need to get this done tomorrow (saturday) so any suggestions before then would be great. I still need to do some touchup stuff on it, but I'm kinda burnt out right now........
