hi all
As you can tell from the title I'm currently in my senior year of high school. So far i have a list of 4 colleges that I am definitely for surely applying to: Ringling, SVA, SCAD and VCU. I'm still wondering if I should try for UArts in Philidalphia and CCA. I want to go into animation.
So I was wondering if UArts was a good school for animation? because I live near DC and I want to stay close to home, but from what I see most of the top animation schools are either in the west coast or very very far from where I live. Plus UArts is freakin expensive and it looks more difficult to apply for scholarships there.
So I've noticed the huggeeee ginormous amount of money needed to pay for art schools! If you apply for early action are you more likely to receive a scholarship? Is it better to apply for early action?

I wrote this in a mild state of panic. I know I should probably talk to my counselor but I don't really have time in or out of school to do so. I have talked to her but she just told me to get organized and make lists. I feel like I'm falling behind and I'm not really sure what I should be doing right now.
So help a brotha out and take a look at my portfolio in my sketchbook! There is a link in my sig. Also here is my deviantart for extra reference:http://mangoshell.deviantart.com Tell me what I'm doing wrong!

Sorry if i'm breaking any rules here! i am fairly new

You definitely should apply to CCA. I wrote about my experience so far in the animation department here: http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=170458.
