Description
I'm looking for an illustrator to collaborate with and pencil, ink, and color for a twelve issue graphic novel.

I've spent the last year researching early American folk lore, tall tales, and history and that is where the story gets most of its steam. For a hint, think about the beginning of the American Industrial Revolution, the whaling industry, and the Trail of Tears. Stylistically, I'm writing it like Moby Dick meets Once Upon a Time in the West: intense characterization punctuated by classic spaghetti western action sequences.

Artistically, I'm looking for someone who can create sweeping ocean and desert landscapes, flourishing American port towns, colossal whaleships, and stay true to the technology and style of the early 1800s. I'm leaving the panel layout completely up to the artist. If you are going to color the work, I'd love to see it water colored.

I'd much prefer a collaborator as opposed to a hired gun. I'd like open feedback between the both of us.
