Hello,
Long time viewer, second time poster… these are some new concept sketches I did recently and would like to get the community’s feed back on them.
If you think they are well executed, what might I improve upon… you know, rip them apart in a helpful manner so that both my self and others might learn from it.
** be warned there is slight nudity (character sheet layouts) and while the file size isn’t that big the image is.. enjoy.

Re: DarkMana
Any one and everyone… ;-) I am seeking employment in the gamming field as a concept artiest or 3d modeler or as a free lance artiest in similar fields. So I have been sending out my resume, and portfolio to any small production house with job postings in these fields. If you know of any places I should look, any help would be very welcome, or any feed back on my art would be as well.
~Cheers

Most of your drawings/concepts look pretty good, the female anatomy seems the weakest too me.
BUT, many of your quick sketchy backgrounds are very distracting. The "Tree" images background looks to rushed and kills the piece (which is quite good). The "creature by beach" background is too distracting, especially the angled box. The "Speedle" "Tor ack" and "kuff" have all got backgrounds that look like you didn't care and just rushed them. Don't do this - if the backgrounds not important keep it simple eg: a gradient, texture or flat colour that brings the subject FORWARD.
Art Directors look at everything! If you can't be bothered doing tidier backgrounds, then simplify them. The backgrounds are weakening your work.
I'm not saying this to be nasty, but to help. Art Directors may see 100's of portfolio's and if you and another person can both draw great characters , but the other guy has great backgrounds too - you'll miss out.
Show your strengths!

Re: Sevans
Thanks for the input; I do agree that the backgrounds do look a little rushed. I was trying to achieve a little depth in the background and trying to place the figure in some sort of environment, (you know trying to show a little about where this thing might live as to stir others imagination and let it go form their)…I will try what you said and hopefully by Friday post again with your suggestions incorporated in to some new images.
~Thanks
P.S
I all ways wanted to live in New Zealand, is gamming big down their?

I'm not a gamer myself, but I know some people around the scene, its not big, but it is growing.
Important things like Drinking and taking drugs is still much more popular in NZ.
F**K i'm proud to be a New Zealander! (sarcastic)
