Hey everybody,
Well, I've been working on a way to apply flat tones in my tonal work and up till now, the majority of my drawings have been pretty simple.
But, I took a dive off the deep end and I'm not entirely sure this is working, I'd appreciate any and all help that you guys can give me!
This is far from being done, so, don't look at it as a finished piece.

it's looking good. I would say consider light sources strongly. since this is a night scene you should really focus on making highlights and whatnot on whatever is in the path/adjacent to that lantern and the windows.

Hey,
Thanks for the comments. I haven't quite gotten to the point where I can start adding highlights just yet, but your comments are dually noted.
Mostly I was concerned about the tones and if they seem to be working alright. In particular, the front right hand side.
And devilbunny, seems you've done some work for my friend Jeff over at Cybershaw...what have you coloured?
Thanks again!

Jer,
I look forward to seeing this piece progress. I do think it's working nicely so far.
And the piece I colored for Jeff was a "The Secret" pinup. I enjoyed working on it. Nice and stylized.

Well,
Here's another piece I just did today. This one is about 2/3 of the way done, I think.
What do you guys think? Keep in mind I'm trying to keep my tones simple but effective. I'm not looking to over render everything, that's more for the pencil stage I think.
Dunno.
Any thoughts are definately more than welcome.
