A guy called the Brush Man occassionaly comes to my university's art school, and brings along with him a ski bag full of brushes. He has good quality brushes and he sells them pretty cheap. Makes you wonder where he got them. I've never had money on me when he comes, so I haven't gotten any from him.

Is this something that happens at other art schools?

Yea he came to our school before. I didn't know he traveled to other states. The prices are good and so are some of the brushes. He just dumps the whole bag onto the floor and you gotta pick through them to find some good ones.

Ah, the brush man! I remember him from a long time ago. What about canvas man, the guy who sold canvases out of his car?

Sounds pretty dodgy to me. Did he have a trenchcoat and dark shades?

Nope. He just looked like a typical grungy hippie from Seattle. Kind of like some of the students here.

I know people who have bought them, and they said they were good.
