Seeking Mentor for Environment Improvement

I am looking for someone that will spend the time to one-on-one with me to help me improve my environment creating skills. Right now I pretty much suck! I have strong character skills but I am having a damn hard time of taking what it is my mind and putting it on canvas to create an atmosphere. I describe myself as a surreal artist, so when I want to create something it either comes out wacky or so industrially harsh that it looks unreal or too manufactured.

What I want to create are soft, visually appealing images of fantasy, ethereal of you want to call it that. I love to create children's fantasy images - I'm not much into blood, guts, and gore.

Do you have a link to your work at all? I can help, but I need to know where you are at in terms of what you are capable of. It also depends on how well you can Illustrate. If you are a novice there isn't much I can do yet.
