SVA Transfer Credits

Could someone tell me what kind of credits SVA will accept? I'm currently going to my local community college and would like to take as many classes that could possibly transfer to SVA, saving me TONS of money. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Most basic humanities and art history credits should transfer (freshmen take two semesters of Literature and Writing and Survey of World Art, it should be pretty easy to find equivalent courses). Some basic studio art classes may, as well, but that's more complicated (you'll probably have to show a portfolio of work along with the transcript to see if you can place out). It's pretty hard to place out of anything beyond foundation classes. You should contact the admissions office and find out the credit requirements for the major you're interested in, plus any other questions you might have.
