This is my first picture colored digitally. I actually don't have a sketch of it, since i didn't make any. It was made completely in GIMP, as a color practice.

You answered your crit all by yourself.

You need to SKETCH, you have to concentrate on shape, form, proportion, lighting etc, before you jump to the details and colouring.

A good basic 'correct' sketch will alway help you produce better work.

Just keep practising.

Thanks... Yeah, i know i needed to sketch, even before i started, i just wanted to try out some coloring. Of course, when making more serious stuff i will always sketch before starting to color.

I would actually say this is a colour "sketch". Only you haven't taken the time and energy to get the proportions correct.
Get some reference.

I would reccomend this be posted in the "sketches" thread, not this one. Particularily if you want feedback.
