I am looking for some high resolution source images for some Bargue drawings. I am sure there are some in here, but search brings up way too many threads. Links would be great, but if you have some files and would be willing to email them to me send me a PM.
Thanks

I was wondering the same thing. I can't figure out how to get my hands on copies of the drawings; the books cost hundreds of dollars.

take a look at this thread

As you can read in my post there I have deactivated the links - maybe you can make the download url (rapidshare) somehow visible ;)

Sorry if this is crossing any lines, I did not mean to cause any problems. I did not think that just getting copies of the drawings which are over 150 years old would be a problem.

Yes Kefeeras, I don´t have a good feeling with this too since my inquiry to the Dahesh Museum has not been answered yet to make it clear. This is the reason I deactivated the links for downloading hand made copies.
This is a grey area since no illustration in the world - except the Bargue Plates - are intended to be copied. And the Bargue Plates are intended to be copied 100% perfect like you are putting these on to a scanner.
Also the drawings - as jvgig mentioned - are over 150 years old so in general these are common property.
Additionally the Bargue drawings you can find in the link were found via Google.
I´d really have a clear situation on this. I´ll write Jason a PM on this.
Gruß nach München! ;)

Well, I edited the book. You can get images from the Victoria and Albert and the Goupil Museum. At least this was how it was done before. The Bargue book itself is copyrighted. So, not such a good idea to copy them and then distribute.
Also, there is a second printing. The book is around 75.00.
