So this is blatant promotion for the school I attend, but I think many students looking for an animation school overlook CCA to their detriment. We have what is probably the most accomplished faculty of any animation department in the world; multiple Annie award winners, a senior animator and a story artist from Pixar, ect. (http://www.cca.edu/academics/animation/faculty). Students here are driven and competitive, but not adversarial. The physical facilities are excellent. Financial aid is far more generous than most art schools, and the geographical location is excellent.

The only reason we aren't on the lists of top animation schools such as the one 3d World puts out is the young age of the program; the oldest students in the major are now juniors. Despite this, we've already have had students get internships at Pixar and Tippet Studios (officially speaking, Pixar doesn't even accept applications for internships from sophomores. Due to some combination of the schools connections and his skills, he still managed to get the job).
