I need to sharp further my modeling skills in Max but I always model tedious shapes that require experienced users to show me the way, and it not obvious sometime.

I tried the only place I know best for this is CG society but this place is a tad too much elitist to me, not that I blame them, they are awesome.

I need other sites that can take their time to demonstrate me some advanced techniques and how to resolve complicated situations without seeing my post sinking to the bottom with no replies.

I hope I don't ask much http://www.rage3d.com/board/images/smilies/bleh2.gif

Thanks for helping :D

3dtotal.com is a pretty small community still where you can get some more 1 on 1 attention...

At the end of the day its up to you to learn this stuff, you can't expect someone to hold your hand.

Thanks, 3Dtotal seems like a good choice :)

I know what you mean, but sometime complex situations just throw me down despite of Googling tutorials and getting lower common denominator results. I could get all the tuts and practice as much I can, but in the end it doesn't teach me how to think. That's why I need opinions from the many communities like I usually do with 2D.

It not that I don't try hard, I get stuck easily in a wrong loop when I break my teeth over a problem, and my 3D projects experiences so far has been far more ambitious with complex model than most of the beginers with simple models. I'm a 2D artist first, so it can be frustrating sometime to get a hang of it, but knowing me, I don't give up easily :).
