i love the ink job on the paper but as u can see if ur going for realism compared to ur reference start shaping him up but beautiful piece waiting for more post pece

p.s. hes not really stepping in like batman does and Nice motorcycle!! lol

Juicy: The line art is a copy of a warner bros. model sheet. I'm about half way done with this piece. I know what you mean about the way he is standing. eventually I'll adjust the feet to be closer together like the model sheet. Also I don't think I'll be going for any realism in this piece. I'll stick to the animation style of the model sheet.

Be sure to spend the most time on your armature underneath and be absolutely sure to have the right proportions.
One trick is to lay your armature flat on top of your drawing/model sheet and work in 1:1 ratio. Make a beleivable skeleton and then work your way building the bulk with aluminum foil/sculpey for muscle groups and such.

hey, cool! i really dig the more playful work. it is actually much harder to make something work with smooth volumes. they have to be perfect in texture and shape.

i am most sure that the guys who make maquets along these line use a hard wax, as it can be sanded machined and polished to incredible effect.

that place is really just built around comics and theres no people with sculpts unlike the shiflett bros
