hi everyone! im Tyler, and im 15 and live in London, the UK.
Ive just begun my 5th year at secondary school (GCSE year), and in about a months time, im going to have to pick my a levels.

i really want to study digital art at university, but i don't know anything about the types of A levels i need to get into a good uni. is it one-hundred percent neccessary for me to take A level art? or can i take any subjects i want?

the reason im asking this is because i really HATE the art that my secondary school offers, and as much as i want to go on to study art at uni, i don't think it will be possible for me to take art for A level, because i hate it so much, and I'd probably fail it because of that.

any help would be great, and p.s. im im interested in both UK and USA universities :)

hi tyler 123 there is a tonne of information on this if you run a search, yes it'd be best to get an art a level, you wont get onto a really good course without doing a foundation degree, but thats okay because that is still the single best year of my school life.
Also it'll give you some time to draw and read up on some art history.
Don't worry too much about it now, you may well change your mind.
PM me if you have any more questions.

thanks, its so easy to forget that there are other people that are in the same position as me, and its nice to know that there are
if you dont mind me asking, what was your experience with a level art? did it allow more creativity and freedom than GCSE level? im just scared that ill hate a level art if i take it, and if i hate the course, ill probably fail it!
