ok, so i got a new desktop not too long ago because my old comp crashed
my wacom worked fine on my old comp, and it works on the new one too, with one exception
There is sort of a lag when i put the pen to the tablet, like it will take a half second to recognize that the pen is there. so after ive moved the pen to draw a line, the mouse will freeze and jump to the end of the line
also, if i leave the cursor in one spot for more than a second, it will freeze and this stupid gray ring will appear around the cursor and switch the function from a left click to a right click
its driving me crazy and idk what to do about it

Dude, this sounds like a driver issue. Try the tablet on another computer first before punching it. This also sounds like a Vista/Win7 type deal also. Not too sure about Wacoms latest driver though..... Delete all the user preferences for the tablet, uninstall the drivers, reboot, run a registry cleaner to remove any leftover keys, reboot. Install an older, stable version first. If it works, then bump it up to the latest driver (They just released a new one today, I'm about to try it out) and see how it works. If this problem persists regardless of what driver install you have, then it might either be one of two things:
A. There is another device driver on your new setup that interferes with your tablet driver
B. It's hardware related, meaning you Wacom has caught a rare disease. Do you suffer from violent outbursts and strike your tablet regularly? It may be punch drunk hehe.....

Haha well i havent actually hit it ever, id never do that. I dont want to break it.
But yea im running on windows vista. I suppose i can delete all the drivers and the tablet programs off my comp. But I dont know what a registry cleaner is.
How do I run that after uninstalling?

CCcleaner works well and free. Just go into the app, select what you want to uninstall and follow the rest of the directions.

I figured it out!!
I went into my control panel and and found "Pen and Input Devices". In there was the option to turn off "Hold down to right click". I turned it off and all the lag and "jumpyness" of my pen went away.
What happened was while that option was on, if I held my pen down in the same spot for more than a half second, it would cancel the action I was doing before and turn into a "right-click". That means if Im trying to make small, delicate or quicks lines, it would stop and right-click on me.
thanks for all of you guys' help though, i appreciate it
