WWII Soldier WIP (big DL) **UPDATE**

K, first pic i plan to do on more than one day :D

Decided to post several WIP steps if someone is interested - any tips, crits and comments are apreciated!

Just a quick couple of comments.

Don't begin working on details before you've laid in the rough tones, colours etc. The image is very messy, and its hard to make out the basic anatomy and lighting.

Plus the anatomy looks off, he appears to have a rather large head (even without the helmet). This makes him look almost like a young 'boy' soldier.

thx 4 the tips first, sevans!!

I know that normally i should work from basic forms and colours to the details - but as far as i am using a ref 4 that one i thought it will be alright when i just lay down the very basic shape, as i got the source 4 lightning n stuff - plus i am still on my way finding the best working draw method 4 me, so this is a kinda experimental. (but i have to committ that im very into details and cant wait to start with em :D )

The big head u mentioned i'm aware of - i will overdraw the body shape again so it ll fit to the head - the only thing i m a kind of worried about is the helmet to head proportion; u think it fits or is the helmet 2 big??

By the way: This is supposed to be a young soldier - but not that young i guess :D
