Hello there fellow artists! My name is Lyam and I'm a 21 year old living in Scotland. I just finished a two year course in Computer Arts and Design but now I'm having to work to earn some money back and hopefully get into uni next year and so while I'm working I'm hoping to build up some form of sketchbook portfolio.
The general aim I have at the moment is to spend around 45 mins (at least) a day sketching/drawing/painting or whatnot and the results will be uploaded here for your scrutiny.
So, be harsh, be truthful but make me work harder!

A few I drew this evening. I think I was imaging the game Stalker when drawing that shadowy bloke. The green mess is supposed to be a rough reference of a Rapier Missile battery.

More sketch nonsense! Spent some time in GIMP 2.0 with the first image I uploaded and this is what I ended up with. Critiques welcome as always.

@ adammelo: thanks bud! Might try this technique with some other bits and pieces I've done. Any suggestions as to how I might improve?
Anyway to make up for not uploading anything yesterday, here's the first of today's sketchy goodness.

Finnaly got round to uploading some more stuff, been pretty tired after work past week or so and haven't really had the energy to draw so this is a mixture of old and new stuff that I did on my day off.

Yay! I've now got two days off work so I will be able to actually get some drawing done, 45 minutes a day is proving a task and a half since by the time I get in from work I'm too knackered to pick up a pencil, let alone draw. Anyway here's some fresh sketches and bits and pieces.

your work is brilliant u have a good sense of depth and proportions. one thing that i didn't liked is that u r calling your hard work as nonsense this is really bad. your work will improve with the investment of more time in it.

@ extremeillustrator: thank you so much for your kind words and yes you're right, I am a little hard on myself at times but the confidence will build as time goes by I hope.
Anyway, finally had some time to do more work, focused on aviation sketches. Btw the nose being cut off the Mi-24 is intentional...well sort of, I ran out of paper...

A friend and I were talking and he mentioned he was re-reading War of the Worlds, a bit later I had some spare time and felt the need to draw and ended up with these. I hold my friend completely responsible.
