Swampthing redux

I did this a while ago and decided to update it because I thought it had potential. I'm thinking of sending it into Spectrum (good luck) and Expose. Any last minute comments are welcome.

I think it looks great. I knid of liked teh original dulled down mossy colours a bit better. all he needs is a few lily pads on his back and maybe some chickweed looking stuff hanging down. Great stuff.

The first image, with the hints of brown and other colours had a much more organic, muddy "swamp" feel to it, but the rendering is better on the second.

Perhaps a slight reworking of the colours in the new version will really make this work brilliant. Add some darker tones to the 'underneath' of the creature (like the first one) to create abit more depth.

I like the image, Good take on a swamp creature.

Thanks guys. It sounds like I had the colours closer to correct the first time around. I'll take your advise and bring some contrast back into the image.
