Why am I not allowed to post image links?

I just registered as a user, and when I post a message I see at the bottom "You may not post attachments." Do I have to meet some qualifications before I can post attachments? Maybe post a certain number of messages first? I tried looking up FAQ, but I couldn't find the information.

Help me out. Thank you.

umm...if you do a search i'm sure you'll find how to post art..

None of us can post attachments. In order to post an image you have to first upload your image to another site and then create an image link in your post to that image.
