Crave My Nightmares

Hi All!

I am making a mask that is a unicorn. (No picture yet) The masks I make are paper mache with a smooth surface. Well my pre-dic-a-mint is that I would like to make it look like it has a fur texture. Well fur like horses fur/hair on its face, very short and low. I would rather not have to glue sections of hide onto it to make it look good. Any suggestions or tips on painting, or any other ideas? Here is a picture of a few of the masks I have done so there is an idea of what they are kinda like finished. I am at a loss so any suggestions or tips or ideas are very welcome!
Thanks!

Maybe you can paint it with glue and then stick something furry on? Hairs of some sort?

Maybe you could make a fur txr with sculpey or or something...although, I really think that in this application actual fur of some sort would be ideal. I just cant see a painted fur txr working well in this instance, although that may just be my own lack of vision. These are cool. I would have never guessed paper mache. Youve made it look just like metal and some sort of ceramic. Nice work in my opinion.
