Our topic is that we have to draw a representation of ourselves as a fantasy creature (your favorite, your personality, whatever that means to you). We're doing it with a basic background, and optional color. Sketches and WIP will be posted here.

I decided my creature is going to be some melding of feline and dragon, and since I looove blue abyssinians, they're my kitty of choice. Here's a basic sketch... I'll probably end up using this pose.

I'm not sure whether to make the dragon half smooth-skinned or scaled. I'm either going to color the image with the old method I used, color it with mech. pencil, scan it in and color over the pencil in PSP, or I'll do colored pencil, and if I have luck and money, I might try watercolors with the colored pencil.

Okay, kudos for making me die laughing... but that doesn't count... we'll see what happens with them soon enough!

For now, here's a color study, despite the fact that the saturation on my monitor is off. Here's to hoping it isn't terrible.

Wow, we're unloved! Well, since there's so little happening in our thread right now I posted an image I'm working on for the final image, little by little when I feel like it. My digital camera CANNOT deal with mechanical pencil so the flash is off, thus making it look far worse than it does, let me assure you. Here's where I'm at so far. You might be able to see how the left leg looks pale due to the reflective qualities of the mech. pencil.

I am going to color it digitally after filling in the whole thing with pencil.

SEE I finally posted something mwa hahahahahhahaa.....this I think is what I'm going to do for my final thingy...well hence the semi started coloring heheh a whole TWO things are colored...but yah...I'm gonna use this for sure...considering there are now 4 days left til they are due....heheh....
