You will need to submit larger photos. What we are shown is more like a thumbnail view. Try the 800 pixel range for best results... everyone wants to see all those little details you nooked in there.

For submission for a portfolio, I would strongly suggest the flower picture as well as the skull. I do have mixed feelings about the guitar, solely because I don't think I would have been able to "see" it without you telling me it was a guitar. I think its because its more an observation of the hat in terms of the overall composition.

Overall you push forms pretty well in the pieces shown. You are handling the light quite well except for in the skull, the cast shadow on the wall seems a bit off due to the light source given on the forehead of the skull. I wouldn't make a change on that working unless you are an absolute perfectionist, but its something to take note of for the future.

Try not to stylize your pictures, but just get it all on the page and try to get it to look as real as possible.

Thank you very much for your critique!
I was having trouble uploading the pictures. It kept telling me that my images were to large, so I just kept cropping them.
The shadow of the skull really does bother me, so I'll go change that ;)
As far as the guitar goes, I think I'll just move onto another drawing if you can't tell what it is. I have a few other pieces that I really want to do for my portfolio. Hopefully I'll finish one of them in the next few days.

Thanks again! :)

That's some quality portfolio pieces the long explanation! I'd suggest keep drawing up till the last week for portfolio submissions and pick your strongest then. If you draw constantly everyday, you'll start to see flaws in your older pieces.

Yes, you've got some months before the deadline so make better pieces than these. If you run out of time and need a piece to reach the minimum of 10, then you could pick one of them. Basically, you could use these as reserves if something goes wrong, but work on more and see what happens first.
