Hi Everyone,
I am a new artist and I am going through Loomis' book on sketching heads and hands. I am only at the beginning of the book but I did a bunch of heads and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for how to do them better or if anyone can tell me what my mistakes are that would rock.

Page 1 of a new sketchbook I got:

I did these ones with a ball point pen on the train

I think that your mistake is to copy the sketches which are 2D. You should go out and draw someone you know. It doesn't HAVE to be a nude model, but nude classes also help one helluva lot.
And it's in the HEAD that you're interested, right? :D
j/k.
But yeah, go out and draw a friend of yours.
