I don't see how this image ties in with the title warmachine cause there is more than one person in the pic. Which the title would have to be made warmachine's. Another thing is you blood look my like a plag of locus. But great use of light and dark.

looks very dynamic, only the big white backgrounds kills it a bit

thx guys, sk, it's more of a political title than an actual warmachine in that sense, common used political term for the planning and operations, the warmachine (often used to describe propaganda), thugs in suits, current conditions, but, art shouldn't be too political so i left it pretty vague, and yeh, blok, it was an afterthought really, thought it'd draw the eye to the bottom so i added a few 2d elements to balance it a little, not that successfully ;), should really have went with my initial idea of painting buildings into it and left it cropped :)

i like though i agree with blok the white doesnt work for it as a whole maybe go with buildings in the bg it will be really good in the end....art is the best way to express one's political feelings directly or indirectly and there have been very political artist who have tied in politics within their pieces :D

seriously though i think it was more a confusion of "War machine" the comic rather than the UNDERused political reference. that and he said "locus" and "plag". not pointing to a great grasp of language. as a critique its a fine piece but the anatomy could use a little more definition, and the bone structure of the character in the foreground is weaker than anyone else in the picture, yet he is one of the two main focal points.

thanks :), yeh that guy in particular gave me trouble, i did all the faces from memory, didn't have much trouble painting straight on, or sideways, but that angle is tricky to visualise, spent longer on him than anything else, i'm reasonably happy with it but i can definately see where your coming from, hopefully as i learn more (havent studied anatomy very much upto now, just a little) i'll get it, i may possibly redo this, do what i planned first, glance at a few refs to clean those guys up (depends on if the missus will give me time though hehe)
