Hi.
I´ve got a BIG problem. How do I erase a line done with charcoal if the kneaded eraser does not erase it without damaging the paper?
Does anyone have a cool tip for me?
Thanks!!

Thicker, smoother paper.
Also, it looks like you're using charcoal pencils, use sticks.

How does thicker, smoother paper erase those lines?
;)
So you mean I should start new and there is no way of getting rid of those lines?
You´re right about the pencils. I will buy me sticks tomorrow. And smoother paper :)

Thing is, any paper can only take so much erasing.
Smooth, thick paper is just more likely to survive the process. The lack of tooth means you don't need to dig as deep to erase it.
Pencils will tend to dig into the surface more than sticks can, erasing them will damage the paper more.
The softer charcoal in sticks will be easier to blend if you need subtle transitions. (And if you're doing cast drawings or Bargue plates, you probably do..)

Thanx for the answer.
I´ve bought me a set of hard, medium and soft charcoal sticks and a smooth canson paper.
I´ve tried to get rid of those lines by scratching with a razor blade - for now this helped but my next drawings will be done with my new equipment :)
