Very nioce portrait. I especially like the eyes. The right eye (her left) needs to be pushed in a bit more (to the left). If you look at the face untilted, you can see that the right side of the face is protruding to much.
You desert needs some more contrast as well. Try bringing in some stringer shadows and maybe some vegetation as well, or bones/stones in the foreground to draw the viewer in.

sweet work on those photo studies dude :) and the comic's great, very touching and 'different' from the norm :D the portrait looks good though his ear's a bi too low and the values could be a bit darker in the shadows, dig your chow entry too. MOAR :)

hey man, here i am ! Well, the proportions of the still lifes just above are quite good . i don't know what you used to put values on, but you should use a medium that have more control. Your values are also not enough dark in general ! In real life, values are quite dark, and, for the artist, we have to exaggerate a bit this darkness, so the little area of light would bright even more ! i've looked at your sb, and i find that in general, you don't do enough studies . I know it won't be funny, exept if you love studies, but i suggest you to stop stuff from mind for a while, or to do it less, like once every week, and to be focused on your drawing and painting skills, for at least 2-3 months, to get some huge improvment, and then come back to an average schedule ( 50% imagination, 50 % observation ) Anyway, keep it up !

Hey man about the values, I think its just a symptom of using pencils, when you photograph pencils they tend to come off a bit weird.

I did two warm up ships before this but I can't find them ?... oh well, this was inspired by IDW and CHOW's current Space Smugler based theme.

Hey, nice work! You've improved a lot since the beginning, but one problem that I still see is that you seem to make bodies too short. Think about how long the legs need to be, the head and torso are taking up too much of the height (I used to have this same problem until I started actually measuring the heads in the bodies and then it came more naturally). And someone said to push the dark values, which I agree with! You work perspective well, and experiment a lot; good stuff! Keep it up! Also maybe try less shaky strokes and more effective strokes (do more and have more control, but with less strokes), just more fluidity in general. It'll really make everything look more natural, instead of a little jagged and rough.

Interesting cards, are they based on anything? Your submarine base was solid last week, I think your getting a lot better. One thing/crit is I wish I could see more of the submarine's exterior detail.
