Hey what are you all going to study in school?

Would be real curious what everyone is going for around here.

Illustration mostly but the exercises I've been doing in the foundations classes are giving me a greater appreciation of fine art.

I've been into game design (3d for games essentially) course already and appreciate what I got;
currently preparing for an illustration program with a few back-up options in fine-art

I'm studying graphics design. But, honestly, the classes are more in tune with concept design work.

cool...thanks!

If your program is not listed in the poll please add here in the replies. This is really helpful to my understanding of what this community is doing to educate itself and what the programs are of interest.

plz keep it up! Thanks everyone.

Planning to continue doing degree in illustration at the States since I just graduated with diploma in illustration too but the cost is still beyond my reach at the moment.

I plan to study digital illustration and concept design - as good a mix as i can find either here in Sweden or abroad. Preferably beginning next spring, giving me about 3-4 months to further improve my skill, or summer. 2010.

Technically I'm now in "Communication Arts," but it's essentially Illustration (perhaps with a pinch of graphic design thrown in).

I'm only a junior in high school, and I'm thinking of either computer animation or illustration. Most likely, animation.

Fine Arts here.

I went through Fine Arts, largely because it was the only thing available in my area for a resonable tuition cost, and it gave me the broadest understanding of art history, concepts and techniques.

If Illustration, Concept design, or any of the other poll options had be offered, i would have made the transition into them.

If only there was a school that allowed you to focus in all of these categories and was backed by both extensive knowledge and a strong community ;).

Illustration will be the word on my degree when I get it, but I'm also taking what I can in industrial design and fine art.

Right now I finish architecture and if I had a chance I would study illustration after that. Just for a year or two to polish few things in my artistic skill set.

I am quite undecided on what to focus, I want to do fine art, illustration, and concept art.

I voted for Concept Design but my major is actually Illustration at AAC, this major offers 3 specializations (concept art, graphic novel and children's book illustration). I'm going for concept art illustration.

Fine art and design teacher, although I regret the fact that I am. If I had to start now I would study illustration.

I am taking up multimedia but I am planning to major in 3d Animation for games (if possible). Although my school offers a animation track, my course allows me to study video, website and sound along the way. It also depends on some of the professors you get for prerequisite subjects... a couple of my profs wanted product designs, so I got a bit of practice on that.

Later on, I'll try to apply for scholarship to a arts college in New Zealand. If that doesn't work there is also the VFS 3d animation track. There is also another college that has a track specifically for game design in California. Art school in Japan doesn't sound too bad too if I can manage a scholarship.

Illustration is what I'm headed toward now, going to hit up as many life drawing/painting classes as I can on the way.
