I am starting up a webcomic called Brium which can best be described as a dark futuristic fantasy epic. There will not be any elves, dwarves, hobbits or any of the other traditional fantasy characters. Also, there will not be any aliens, huge battle ships, big plasma/laser guns, or any of the other traditional futuristic weapons.

The setting of this story is in the not-too-distant future after an apocalypse. (no, not a nuclear war. Not unique enough.) There will be traditional gunplay, but bullets are hard to come by so this will happen sparingly. There will be swords, bow and arrows, and the such. There will be magic as well, but this will also be used sparingly. (there's a reason behind this as well.) It's kind of like a wierd fanstasy/futuristic/western?

I'm trying to focus more on characters and their emotions, and the scenes should display this properly. Religion will play a part in the story, but I will be focusing on it as "Faith" as a whole; not singling out one religion. It will feature some bloodshed, but nothing excessive. (of course, that depends on what you consider excessive I guess.) What else to say...

I'm looking to make it a weekly comic. This is how I see it working: I will provide (through an e-mail) the story and storyboard along with notes on what I am trying to show with each frame in the storyboard and what they are saying or thinking. I then put it into your hands to create the scene in your style. Be creative, be you. Then e-mail it back to me and I'll say, "Wow! I love what you did with this frame!" or "Hmm... I don't know if the right emotion is coming through here..." and so on. We'll work through it.

You'll keep the copyright to all of your material. More information, along with what I would like you to draw (colored) can be found at the webcomic page Brium.net (http://www.brium.net)

I'm not making any money off this (in fact, I'm losing money with web hosting, forums, etc.), so I would like to find someone who will work for free as well; however, if you do feel you need money for your work we can talk about it. I'm still a poor college student; be gentle.

I think that's all really. Thanks everyone!

Disregard this post. Brium.net is no longer looking for an artist.
