I posted this at Sijun too.
It was made for a friend as a thank you for a small, yet vital part on my Boba Fett costume that he gave me. He wanted to see a girl version of Boba
So this was my take on it.
Linework is done with a pencil and i used a Grey marker for the dark background area. The rest is done in Photoshop.

There are some perspective problems on the jetpack missile.

Here's the unaltered drawing:

That was in september 2002. It's about time you started contributing ;)

Been digging your work for a while and it's nice to see some of it here.

Though I feel the helmet is merging with the body on this one. Think the heavy dark line above the helmet amplify that effect. None of your better ones. Would be nice to see some more new stuff from you (will be watching your thunderdome thread eagerly).

He he..Well i hope i can contribute with something from now on ;) SHit it's been almost 2 years since i registered here.

Have you started on your thunderdome piece yet? I heard Joachim talked about some ideas he had, but i wont spoil it;)

I agree that it is'nt my best work, but it felt fun while i did it.
This was one of my went-blind-while-doing-it pics. I did'nt take time to look over it after i was finished. Just wanted to let it go while it was fresh.

My biggest crit(for myself) is that it's too typical me. All my pictures these days end up looking like that somehow. It must be that i have'nt drawn for a long time and everything end up looking like it did before i gave up:/ This is a habit that i will hope i break and also one of my reasons to getting more active and updated at Sijun and this place here. I wanna paint more and try to explore techniques and methods.

I hope 2004 will be a great year to learn and start fresh:)

Hey. I've just done some doodles, trying to find a good design (which seems it wont happen). But I've got an idea on the topic which I'll probably gonna stick with. Need to get starting drawing on it.

yay, you're not dead! :) definitely hope to see more of you around here

about the pic, my crit would be that the color one looks quite flat, especially the helmet. i'm not sure, but i think you posted some pics on sijun ages ago, where you used only hard edges (i think one of them had soccer players, rinaldo and some other fellas), no smooth transitions. the sleeves and the right half of the hair have that look, and it's working. the smoother parts, like the helmet and the armor don't work as good, imho.

also, a different (colder) color for the back might help it pop out

cheers

Janni:
That was the intention;) Thanks!
al-x: Glad it gave you some ideas. Would love to see it:)

Oh, yeah, i will try to post as much as i can here:)
Do you mean the lack of shading in some areas? I was going for a pretty cartoony style, but i think can see what you mean. My intention was that the linedrawing could stand for itself and i quickly added colors. I might have been halfassed with the shading, suggesting a more confusing style or something.Dunno, but taken into consideration for upcoming pieces:) Thanks!
