i finally switched tools from pencil to ink, which was probably a good thing, it froces to make a decision. also i bought a brushpen, though i don't know if i will stick to it. quite hard to control ..

I must say retro. I love the way you draw. Every line you put down smoothly leads into the next. I have so much to lean still...
thx for posting!:)
p.s I think we'd all benefit if you posted a lot more often. I miss seeing your sp's!

i see lots of emotion, energy, and personality in those drawings. the inked ones look nice too.

These are wonderful retro! How do you do this without people getting freaked out and changing their seats? I always feel like everyone will know I'm drawing them (like how you can tell when someone is watching you, you just get that feeling)

thanks for the kind words. i use a small sketchbook (4"x6") and try to sit where nobody can look at what i'm doing. however this is not always possible, so you just have to ignore the stares. i prefer sketching without anybody noticing, but if i can't avoid i sketch right away. try not looking up and down too often if you want to stay incognito. btw: i have never seen anybody on the train changing seats cause of drawing, most peeps read books or look at their cell phone anyway.
if anybody out there got a hint on how to improve the sketches, please let me know.
@ iwasink: i just threw 3/4 of my selfportraits away, i cant believe how much they suck (and i posted those, ugh).
@ oblio: how did your project work out? got any cash yet? ;)
